Wedding

Where do I start when I talk about what Kate did for us. She is like an angel here on earth. I had originally hired a different wedding planner, who fell through due to personal reasons of her own, after I had given her a hefty deposit.

It took forever to get this back and am still working on the final amount. So with this is in mind, I was leery about proceeding with another planner. I need not have worried.

Kate picked right up where the other had left off. This was no small task as the venue originally picked and paid for ended up being too small (the other planner had not gone to see it before recommending it and living in the United States, I had to go on her word and internet pictures).

Kate traveled to the site, made her recommendations to accommodate the group, found an appropriate, and can I mention awesome, caterer to work in tight conditions, and pulled it off beautifully.

We did not arrive until the night before the wedding, but she had placed the welcome baskets where they needed to be, had met the guests who had arrived early and had made sure the required snack food was in the fridge.

She was there the next morning until the end of the day, gently guiding us from one location to the other and from one part of the reception to the other. Everyone she used (flowers, cake, catering, pictures, traditional Irish musicians) were wonderful. There is nothing I would have changed. I have heard from guests over and over again about what an elegant, beautiful wedding this was.

I attribute a lot of that to Kate, as she is the one who was able to make the vision come true. The flowers were the most beautiful and many could not believe that they were real, they were that vivid.

As mentioned previously, the food was some of the best I have ever tasted. The cake was delectable and exactly as I had envisioned it. The guests loved the individual cakes and many froze them and brought them back to Canada and the USA so they could share them with others.

The musicians were a great touch and the ones Kate had come play for us fit in just like family.

And last, but certainly not least, is Mike Mulcaire the photographer. Every single guest commented on how professional he was and how they could not wait to see the pictures he had taken. The wait was short and they have turned out wonderfully. It makes the day alive all over again and that is no small feat.

So all I can say is thank you. It seems small, but no word can properly say what our wedding meant to us and the fact that it turned out magical and special and will not soon be forgotten.
