Wedding

Our wedding was a five day celebration in a castle that we were planning from America. We had intended to do it all ourselves. But after a short while it became obvious that we needed someone in Ireland who could handle the details and save our sanity!

On my first phone call to Kate, we discovered that our wedding day was also her birthday, and she still agreed to plan our wedding! We knew this was a sign!

Since we had already done some of the planning on our own, Kate worked with the vendors we had already selected for some aspects of the wedding and offerred options for others that enhanced the quality of our day while saving us money.

And with our celebration being a five day affair, Kate still helped us arrange some non-wedding activities such as purchasing extra air mattresses, scheduling a private bus tour, suggesting storytellers, arranging a wine tasting, and finding us guitars to rent for a week! There wasn't anything we asked that she couldn't (or didn't) find an answer to!

Kate always listened to our needs and concerns, at times reading through book-like emails! She always offerred solutions and never complained when we changed our minds or came up with new ideas! When we finally met Kate in person upon our arrival to Ireland, we felt so at ease and in good hands.

I remember waking up on my wedding day and feeling so relaxed because there wasn't a single thing I needed to do (except take a bath)! Everything else was taken care of. I had someone doing my hair, someone else doing my make-up, all sorts of people fussing about to help me. Even my bridesmaids were feeding me that morning!

And I was so joyous because I knew everything else was being handled. This was Kate's territory and she was there to make sure all went smoothly.

Because of her attention, my wedding day was without a doubt the happiest day of my life! And the greatest bonus of all is that in addition to the memories of our time in Ireland, that we now get to call Kate our friend.
