Wedding

I met Kate Deegan at a wedding Fair in Feb 2006 in Johnny Burke's Armada Hotel in Spanish Point, Miltown Malbay. At the time, I knew I would benefit from the help of a wedding planner as I had only 7 months to plan my wedding, but I never thought I'd find someone AS helpful and dedicated (and excited) as Kate was. She made everything a possibility, even if some ideas in the beginning of our meetings were EXTREME; Kate always shook her head and said, 'If it can be sourced, you'll have it.' As a bride, we all know most of the work is left down to us women (we're lucky if the men show up!) and to have someone to share that burden, or in Kate's case, take over that burden ... is a sigh of relief. It gave me time to focus on only certain aspects of the wedding (picking the dresses etc...) KNOWING that Kate had everything else under control. Our wedding day went off without a hitch. When we walked into the room for dinner, the room was transformed into our theme, which happened to be 'nautical.' Sails hung from the roof, sand covered the window sills with shells of all shapes and sizes placed everywhere in the room. Over the bar clung fish nets and sea creatures; we might as well have been on a ship! The work and effort that Kate put into making our day a dream was obvious to everyone present. But it wasn't just her work transforming the room; it was so much more. It was Kate dealing with phonecalls from guests who had questions, it was Kate putting my nerves at ease when time grew closer, just reminding me that 'everything is ready to go!' And 6 months later, we look back on our wedding pictures and dvd and remember the dream she created for us. Thanks Kate ... we couldn't have done it without ya ... Melanie & Frank xxx
